From Dashboard, Click Apperance->Customize to get customizer menu. From site click customize icon on top.
You can change your active theme. Click change in active theme menu. In-order to list themes here, it must be installed and activated. It can be done through Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add new->install. Then activate. Customizer can recognize the activated one.
Site Identity allows customizing site title, site tagline and siting icon. All these will appear on user browser. Set site icon as per recommendation. Changes done here will be reflected in Dashboard->Settings->General.

You are allowed to customize background, Header and sidebar background and text color.
You can apply image of recommended size to header. Image should be in Media. To upload a new image or select existing one in media, use the menu Dashboard->Media->Upload files/Media Library.
