How to submit website to Webmaster Tools?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a method to tell about your web content to Search Engine like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.. .Search engine crawl World Wide Web regularly and performs indexing websites and web pages based on web content. When a user performs a search using a term or phrase, the search engine will find the closest match index and list out the websites/web pages linked to the index.
You write an article on a topic and published in your website. You can set keyword and description to the article to help search engine for indexing your article. Search engine analyze the web content, keyword and description and then index the article properly. A proper index is must to gain more users/ customers.
After a website is created it needs to be submitted to webmaster tools like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc to start indexing website and its contents. There are paid services to do this but you can do it on your own for free.
Generate your website XML sitemap using Yoast SEO plugin. Go to Dashboard->XML Sitemaps->General and click XML Sitemap. Your sitemap will appear on a new screen.
Add your URL - Submit your website for inclusion in Google's index.
- Click the above hyperlink and sign in with a google account.
- Type your site URL, Select check box and click Submit.
- A new screen will appear, asking to verify the site ownership.
- In Alternate Method Tab, Select HTML Tag radio button.
- Copy the HTML code and leave the page open.
- Go to your site Dashboard->Tools and paste the code in Website Verification Services, Google Webmaster Tools. Save Changes.
Search Console – Submit a Sitemap of your website to Google.
- Click the above hyperlink and sign in with a google account.
- Click on a domain name.
- Click Crawl->Sitemaps->ADD/TEST SITEMAP. Copy part of your website XML sitemap & index URL, paste in the box and click Submit Sitemap.
- Click the above hyperlink.
- Type URL of your website homepage.
- Enter the CAPTCHA text you see displayed.
- Click Submit

- Click the above hyperlink and sign in with a Microsoft account.
- Click Configure My Site->SUBMIT A SITEMAP
- Copy a URL of your website XML sitemaps & index and paste in the box provided.
- Click Submit.
Search engine will take some time to index your website. Google may take weeks whereas Yahoo may take months.
Enter site:your website name in Google search (https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl). If you see your website listed in results then it is indexed by google.
Enter your website name in Yahoo search (https://search.yahoo.com/). If you see your website listed in results then it is indexed by Yahoo.
Enter your website name in Bing (MSN) search (https://www.bing.com/). If you see your website listed in results then it is indexed by Bing (MSN).
