- Convert from hex to binary and then to decimal
First, hex to binary.

Convert 1101012 to decimal.

| Digits | 1 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 1 | |
| Sum | 32 | 16 | 0 | 4 | 0 | 1 = 5310 |
- Convert directly from hex to decimal by summing the weights of all digits.
| Weight | 256 | 16 | 1 |
| Digits | 2 | 9 | B = 11 |
| Sum | 512 | 144 | 11= 66710 |
